Posh Under 18s make a return to Professional Development League Cup action in midweek as they face Swindon Town in the knockout phases.
League action takes a pause on Tuesday afternoon (1pm) as the Peterborough United Under 18s face the Robins in the quarter-finals of the PDL Cup.
Our Under 18s were put in good stead heading into the knockout phases, having topped their group with seven points from three games.
Posh shared the points with Manfield Town before recording success over both Luton Town and Ipswich Town to round-up an undefeated group campaign.
The youngsters will be buoyed by their return from the winter break, beating Barnsley 2-0 last weekend owing to second-half goals from Joe Davies and Noah Freeman.
They face Category 3 Swindon Town for a place in the semi-finals, who also shared similar success when they recorded a 3-1 victory at AFC Bournemouth to propel them into top-spot.

Jimmy Unwin says he expects a similar team from Saturday to feature against Swindon Town.
Max Beech and Milan Kovaci remain the only absentees, but illness could affect a few faces.
THE OPPOSITION
Swindon sit sixth in the Youth Alliance League having picked up 24 points from 15 league matches. Sean Wood’s side have seen seven victories, three draws and five defeats over the course of the campaign, while topping Group A in the PDL Cup thanks to respective victories over Cardiff City and AFC Bournemouth.

“We’re really looking forward to the game. Swindon will be a really tough test; they have a good pedigree in cup competitions and will be really difficult to beat. We were pleased with the performance (against Barnsley) on Saturday, there are areas that need improving but we will look to put that right on Tuesday,” Professional Development Phase (Under 18s) Lead Coach Jimmy Unwin said.
