Under 21s

Peterborough United Under 21s are in action on Tuesday afternoon (1pm) with Bristol City the visitors to the Weston Homes Stadium.

Posh Under 21s are back in Professional Development League action on Tuesday when they welcome the Robins to PE2.

Our youngsters will be aiming for a repeat of last time around at the Weston Homes Stadium, which ended in the 3-0 success over AFC Bournemouth, with Chris Conn-Clarke grabbing a brace either side of David Kamara’s spot-kick.

The Robins are unbeaten in their last six outings, picking up three wins and three draws across that stretch.

Jack Griffin’s strike rescued a point for Alex Ball’s side last time out, drawing 1-1 with Charlton Athletic on their travels to the capital.

TEAM NEWS

Options have been boosted with no First Team match in midweek. Ollie Rose and Justin Osagie are unavailable as the pair continue their loan duties with Scunthorpe United and Peterborough Sports respectively.

THE OPPOSITION

Bristol City currently sit in seventh position in the southern section - two points above our Under 21s, with two games in hand; picking up 27 points from 57 available. The Robins are riding the wave of a six-game unbeaten streak, a run that has seen Alex Ball’s side undefeated since the turn of the year.

FROM THE MANAGER

Lead Professional Development Phase (Under 21s) Coach Ryan Semple said ahead of the game: “We’re looking forward to the game tomorrow. We played Bristol City three times last season, so we’re expecting a tough game. They’ll put us under pressure in the way in which they play, and they have a real variety, so we’ll have to be at it in all aspects to ensure a positive performance and result."
