Under21hull

Posh Under 21s will look to build on their last result when they take on Hull City on Tuesday afternoon (1pm).

Hull City make the trip from Humberside in our latest Professional Development League test on Tuesday afternoon, with our Under 21s hoping to build on the foundations from the 2-2 draw at Wigan Athletic.

Patryk Sykut was on hand to rescue a point on our travels north, having fallen behind after Bradley Ihionvien’s early strike.

Hull City made it back-to-back victories at Sheffield Wednesday meanwhile, owing to strikes from Brandon Harriman-Annous, Zane Myers, Harry Revill and Harry Vaughan.

TEAM NEWS

Options have been boosted with no senior squad match in midweek, with Max Beech and Milan Kovaci the only absentees from the Under 18s.

THE OPPOSITION

Hull City currently sit level on points with Sheffield United at the reach of the table, having picked up 13 victories and six defeats across the campaign. The visitors are bound to deliver entertainment, having seen 76 goals across their league matches this term, including the 4-1 victory over our Under 21s back in October.

FROM THE MANAGER

Lead Professional Development Phase (Under 21s) Coach Ryan Semple said: "There were some good moments to come from the Wigan performance; we created loads of chances and we’re looking to build on that. I have been quite pleased with some of our performances since Christmas. When we have come away with nothing, we definitely shouldn’t have, but we understand that we have to improve the quality in the final third and take our chances, which is what we’re working towards."
