Posh Under 21s are back in action on Wednesday afternoon as they host Sheffield Wednesday at idverde Training Ground (12pm).
The Peterborough United Under 21s will look to bounce back from last Tuesday’s narrow defeat away at Brentford 'B' this Wednesday lunchtime when they face Sheffield Wednesday at the idverde Training Ground.
The Posh youngsters put in a spirited display against the Bees but were ultimately beaten 2-1 despite a well-taken spot-kick from Harley Mills.
Wednesday’s opposition, Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to bounce back themselves from their 3-1 defeat away to Swansea last week. The Owls are 6th in the Professional Development League North and level on points with the Posh which means a result either way will see the winners placed above their rivals in the table.
TEAM NEWS
The team is expected to be similar to the side which played against Brentford 'B' last week. A mix of Under 21s and Under 18s will remain in the squad and look to build on strong performances against Fleetwood and Brentford B.
FROM THE MANAGER
Lead Professional Development Phase Lead Coach (U21s) Ryan Semple said: “We are looking forward to the game on Wednesday against a side who usually bring a lot of physicality, aggression and lots of attacking quality. This will provide us with a stern test but one that we are looking forward to.”
