There was disappointing news from the pre-match press conference with Ferguson revealing that left-back Rio Adebisi won't play again this season after a scan revealed further damage to his knee.

Emmanuel Fernandez has recovered from illness while striker Bradley Ihionvien is nearing a return after his own injury battles this season.

Kwame Poku and Mahamadou Susoho remain on the sidelines but goalkeeper Jed Steer is back training on grass after a knee injury.

MANAGER QUOTES

"Barnsley had a good win on Boxing Day and they are good on the road, but to be honest, it is about us getting back to basics, that is what we need to focus on. We need to compete in terms of tackling, running, defending set-pieces, everything we didn't do in the first half on Boxing Day," Darren Ferguson said.
