Posh v Birmingham City

A look ahead to Tuesday night's  Sky Bet League One clash with Birmingham City at the Weston Homes Stadium (7.45pm)

Peterborough United entertain Sky Bet League One champions-elect Birmingham City at the Weston Homes Stadium on Tuesday evening (7.45pm) with the Blues a win away from promotion to the Sky Bet Championship following the weekend results.

Posh will be looking to bounce back after Saturday's disappointing home defeat to local rivals Northampton Town, which was just the club's second defeat in the last 12 games in all competitions.

TEAM NEWS

Defender Sam Hughes remains a doubt for the game with the Blues after missing the defeat to Cobblers with an injury that he has been managing.

Tayo Edun has apologised following his red-card at the weekend and he will be suspended for the game with the Blues. Rio Adebisi remains side-lined.

The Blues lost the services of Willum Willumsson towards the end of the first half of their game with Barnsley on Saturday so Alfie May, who came on to replace the Icelander, is expected to start.

MANAGER QUOTE

"Chris Davies has done a fantastic job at Birmingham and one of the things they do really well is the basics, they run the hard yards and we are going to have to match that if we are going to get a result. We were in on Sunday, we addressed Saturday and then we moved on, in general over the last 12 games we have been good, even in the defeat at Reading there were positives, but Saturday was obviously nowhere near from the first minute," Ferguson said.
