A look ahead to Tuesday night's clash with Blackpool at the Weston Homes Stadium in Sky Bet League One action (7.45pm).
Peterborough United welcome Blackpool to the Weston Homes Stadium in Sky Bet League One action on Tuesday evening (7.45pm) with Darren Ferguson's men looking to bounce back from Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers at Adam's Park.
Posh are unbeaten at home since the beginning of September and will come up against a Blackpool side who have taken one point from the last nine available including Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Barnsley at Bloomfield Road.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without the services of defender Emmanuel Fernandez, who serves a one-match ban following his red card at Wycombe on Saturday.
George Nevett is expected to come into the line-up to partner Oscar Wallin at the heart of the Posh defence with the Swede responding well to his recovery programme with the defender suffering with cramps in recent weeks.
Hector Kyprianou, Jadel Katongo, Chris Conn-Clarke, Rio Adebisi and Mahamadou Susoho remain on the sidelines.
As for the visitors, they are expected to be without the injured trio of Elkan Baggott, Ollie Norburn and Andy Lyons.
James Husband and CJ Hamilton are also unavailable for selection after they missed Saturday's defeat to Barnsley due to injury.
Midfielder Josh Onomah could be given more minutes off the bench after coming off the bench to make his Blackpool debut at the weekend.
ONE TO WATCH
Rob Apter
Rob Apter has progressed through the youth team at Blackpool to go on and make several first-team appearances at the Club. He made his debut in November 2020 in an EFL Trophy match against Leeds United, before making his league debut for the Seasiders two months later in the 5-0 victory at Wigan Athletic.
Impressive loan spells at Bamber Bridge and Chester followed, with Apter appearing for Blackpool's first-team throughout the pre-season campaign of the 2022/23 season before a move to Scunthorpe United on loan until January 2023.
Rob spent the first half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Tranmere Rovers in Sky Bet League Two, before signing a new deal with the Seasiders and returning to Brunton Park where he won Sky Bet League Two Young Player of the Season.
MANAGER QUOTES
"I am looking for a reaction from the weekend, there is no doubt about that. We have had long, honest conversations since Saturday. Blackpool have an excellent manager, one with arguably the best CV at this level and they also have a talented squad, so that mix is usually a recipe for success," Darren Ferguson said.
