Posh v Exeter City

A look ahead to Tuesday night's clash with Exeter City at the Weston Homes Stadium (7.45pm).

Peterborough United are back in action on Tuesday evening when they welcome Exeter City to the Weston Homes Stadium in Sky Bet League One action (7.45pm) with Darren Ferguson's men looking to build on the first league clean sheet of the campaign against Leyton Orient on Saturday afternoon.

New signings Tayo Edun and Sam Hughes, alongside recent arrival Carl Johnston helped provide a solid base for the team against the O's.

Exeter arrive on the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat at Bimingham City with Ethan Laird scoring the only goal of the game for the promotion-seeking Blues.

TEAM NEWS

Posh are without the services of Kwame Poku and Rio Adebisi, but midfielder Mahamadou Susoho is due to play 45 minutes for the Under 21s at Burnley and if he comes through unscathed, he will be available for the trip to Lincoln City at the weekend.

Defender Jack McMillan was shown a second yellow card late on against Birmingham and will be suspended, while Ryan Woods could also be missing.

MANAGER QUOTES

"I have watched quite a few games of Exeter and they are a complex side to prepare for because they make a lot of changes within games in terms of the way they go about things. For us, we want to build on the clean sheet at the weekend, there were lots of positives to take, we just need to be more of a threat the other way, but we have had good meetings and know that it can be improved,"Darren Ferguson said.

ONE TO WATCH

Millenic Alli

23-year-old attacker Millenic Alli (pictured below) signed for an undisclosed fee from National League side FC Halifax Town in the January 2024 transfer window. Alli, who operates primarily as a left-sided forward, but can also play centrally has scored seven goals in 21 matches for the Shaymen this season.

The Irishman spent his youth career at Bury FC, before his first senior move came at South Shields. After a season in the north-east, he moved to Ashton United and a season later he transferred to Stockport County. While with the Hatters, Alli went on loan to Chorley where he accumulated three goals in 33 matches in the National League North and helped the side reach the play-offs.

Since making his debut at Peterborough in March, Alli scored four goals in the final four matches of the season to win the club's April Player of the Month award and leave fans excited for what he may achieve in 2024/25.
