A look ahead to Saturday's Sky Bet League One clash with Northampton Town at the Weston Homes Stadium (3pm).
Peterborough United welcome local rivals Northampton Town to the Weston Homes Stadium in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
Posh go into the game on the back of an entertaining victory on the road as an Abraham Odoh hat-trick and a late Ricky-Jade Jones spot-kick earning Darren Ferguson's men a 4-3 win against struggling Crawley Town at the Broadfield Stadium.
The Cobblers remain in a relegation battle after a 2-0 home defeat by mangerless Rotherham United at Sixfields on Tuesday evening.
TEAM NEWS
Defender Sam Hughes was unable to complete the 90 minutes against Crawley and remains a doubt for the game with Northampton. Manager Darren Ferguson confirmed it wasn't 'serious' and he would be managed day by day.
Rio Adebisi remains sidelined with a long-term injury, while Emmanuel Fernandez could return to the squad after not being included in the 18 due to Jadel Katongo's versatility.
Striker Tom Eaves could return to the Cobblers line-up as manager Kevin Nolan looks for a response from his team, who have largely been competitive in games despite their league position.
MANAGER QUOTE
"I have watched three of Northampton's recent games and they are a difficult team to play against, they are well organised and they have been competitive in a lot of their games. We have conceded too many goals in our last two games and that is something that needs to improve, but we continue to create chances at the other end which is important. It is a local derby, the fans will be up for the game and we lost at their place earlier in the season, so we want to go out there and win the game," Ferguson said.
