Posh v Rotherham United

A look ahead to Saturday's clash with Rotherham United at the Weston Homes Stadium (3pm).

Peterborough United welcome Rotherham United to the Weston Homes Stadium in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon (3pm) with former Posh boss Steve Evans in the dugout for the Millers alongside former assistant Paul Raynor.

Rotherham had a slow start to the campaign, but given the turnover of players in the summer, that was somewhat unsurprising and they have picked up their form in recent weeks, which included a first win on the road in over 40 matches - a last-gasp success at Cambridge United.

Posh go into the game on the back of three successive wins at the Weston Homes Stadium, including two successes against Stevenage in the league and the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

TEAM NEWS

Striker Bradley Ihionvien is nearing full fitness and if he comes through training on Friday could be involved in the squad on Saturday.

Archie Collins is suspended after collecting five bookings already this season, but Ryan De Havilland is now available after injury.

Hector Kyprianou, Mahamadou Susoho, Jadel Katongo, Rio Adebisi and Chris Conn-Clarke are on the sidelines though.

Jonson Clarke-Harris came off with a calf injury in the last game for the Millers, but he is expected to return to lead the line. Sean Raggett continues to battle for full fitness after missing the start of the campaign.

ONE TO WATCH

Jonson Clarke-Harris

If fit, Jonson Clarke-Harris is the obvious one to watch out for - in fact, as he proved many times during his career with Posh, he doesn't even have to be fit to be a threat - he scored both goals against Lincoln City with a serious calf problem that got the club promoted.

Clarke-Harris had many suitors during the summer but decided to return to Rotherham and has already netted a few goals for the club. Powerful in the air, with an excellent left-foot, Clarke-Harris will be a physical presence for the Millers.

MANAGER QUOTES

"We have won the last three games at home and we want to keep that momentum going, but we know it will be a tough game on Saturday. Rotherham are a strong side, it will probably be a contrast in styles, but they are effective in what they do. They are an experienced group and we are a young group, but we will try and impose our game on them," Darren Ferguson said.
