A look ahead to Saturday's Sky Bet League One clash with Shrewsbury Town at the Weston Homes Stadium (3pm).
Peterborough United welcome Shrewsbury Town to the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm) looking to make it three wins from three in all competitions after successes on the road at Huddersfield Town and Wrexham in the last seven days.
Darren Ferguson's men could extend the advantage from the drop zone with three points against the Shrews, who are also battling to stay in the division.
Gareth Ainsworth's men are seven points from safety, although Posh do have a game in hand (against Birmingham City).
TEAM NEWS
Defender Emmanuel Fernandez is suspended, full-back Carl Johnston is sidelined through a hamstring injury and Rio Adebisi is a long-term absentee.
Johnston could return against Wycombe Wanderers next Saturday. Kwame Poku and Gustav Lindgren remain doubtful and Ferguson will make a late decision on their inclusion in the squad.
Jadel Katongo is fit and available for selection while Bradley Ihionvien is pushing for a start after coming off the substitutes bench to fire the equaliser at Wrexham on Wednesday evening. Tayo Edun and Sam Hughes are back after they missed the win at Wrexham because they were cup-tied.
For the Shrews, free agent signing David Wheeler could be given a start with Jordan Shipley also pushing for a start against Posh. Dominic Gape is unlikely to feature.
MANAGER QUOTE
"We have had a good week so far, we have the opportunity to make it a great week, but this will be a tough game. It has always been the most important game of the seven day period. They will be difficult to break down, they are very organised, we may have to remain patient. The fans have been superb this week, they can really play their part on Saturday," Ferguson said.

John Marquis
Shrewsbury Town announced the signing of striker John Marquis (pictured below) in July 2024. The experienced forward, who has already scored more than 150 goals across the EFL, signed a two-year deal at the Croud Meadow.
John came through the ranks at Millwall and went on to make over 50 appearances for the Lions. Whilst with the East London club, he spent time on loan with Portsmouth, Northampton, Cheltenham, Gillingham and Leyton Orient.
In 2016, he made a permanent switch to Doncaster, where he spent three years, making over 130 appearances and scoring over 60 goals. Spells at Portsmouth, Lincoln and Bristol Rovers followed for the six-foot-one striker before he joined Shrewsbury.
