A look ahead to Tuesday night's Vertu Trophy tie against Walsall at the Weston Homes Stadium (7.45pm).
Peterborough United welcome Sky Bet League Two pacesetters Walsall to the Weston Homes Stadium for a round of 16 Vertu Trophy tie on Tuesday evening (7.45pm), but it will be a tough test for Darren Ferguson's men as the Saddlers have won eight games in a row and the most in-form team in the top four divisions.
Mat Sadler won the Manager of the Month for League Two after the outstanding run of form but has lost the services of on-loan front man Nathan Lowe who has returned to parent club Stoke City.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without the services of Kwame Poku and Rio Adebisi who remain sidelined due to injury while Carl Johnston is cup-tied after featuring in the trophy for Fleetwood Town.
Harley Mills is back after serving a three-match suspension, but there are a number of players who are struggling with knocks picked up in Sunday's training session.
Walsall could make changes to their line-up as they were one of a few clubs that were in action at the weekend. They were 5-1 winners over Tranmere Rovers at the weekend.
MANAGER QUOTES
"Walsall are the most in-form team in the country and any team that wins eight games in a row will be difficult opponents. For ourselves, there were positives to take from the last couple of performances, but we need to get back to making sure we have a real attacking threat. We have one or two knocks in the squad from the Sunday training session, but we will see how they are," Darren Ferguson said.
