From The Coach
Under 23s coach, John Currall, spoke ahead of the game: “It’s always good to be playing at home with the facilities we have available and the girls are more than familiar with the pitch. We’re excited to play at home after an away game. It wasn’t the result we wanted last week but we have plenty to take away from the game. It’s always disappointing to lose the game but it’s about performances not results, and how the girls develop. It’s a long season so there’s plenty of games to make these improvements. Naturally, the girls’ are disappointed but with football there’s always a game around the corner to bounce back from.
“We played Notts County last season. We know roughly what they’re like; we had some good results against them last year. They’re a good side who will give us a good game. There’s no easy games in this league. We know the level we can achieve as a team and will be hoping to reach those heights and put in the best performance that we can.”
