Winger Joel Odei-Larbi has put pen to paper on a short-term professional contract.
Peterborough United youngster Joel Odei-Larbi has agreed a short-term professional contract at the football club after a stop-start 2023-2024 campaign, which was hampered by injury, curtailed his progress.
The 18-year-old is grateful for the opportunity he has been given and is determined to stay injury-free and hit the ground running at the start of pre-season.
"I want to say a big thank you to the coaches and everyone at the club for the faith that they have shown in me and I am determined to repay that faith.
"Last season was a difficult one for me in terms of injuries so to be given a little extra time is something I am extremely grateful for," Odei-Larbi said.
Academy Manager Dan Robinson added: "Joel has been really unfortunate with a number of injuries over the last three seasons, some of them growing related, he has grown in statute and that can happen at different times for players.
"We are excited to see where he is at when he comes in for pre-season and he will get the opportunities in matches during that period of time across all ages.
"He has been in training on a weekly-basis during the off-season to get himself in good shape. He is a player that fits our mould of what we are looking for in the attacking positions and we hope he grabs the opportunity he has been given."
