Posh progress into the knockout stages of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy after a 4-1 win over Crystal Palace Under 21s.
In normal circumstances, two wins from two in this competition would have already secured your progress into the knockout stages, but Peterborough United still had work to do going into the final group game against Crystal Palace Under 21s and a dominant second half display secured a 4-1 victory for Darren Ferguson's men to top the group.
It was a fairly quiet opening 45 minutes with not too many clear-cut opportunities. The returning Chris Conn-Clarke fired over from the edge of the box, while goalkeeper Nick Bilokapic made a smart stop to keep out Umolu from close-range.
Malik Mothersille was denied by the keeper after good close control near the by-line before Conn-Clarke's low drive was kept out by the Palace shot-stopper at the second attempt.
Posh opened the scoring three minutes into the second half as ODOH tapped home from close-range after good work from Cian Hayes.
Bilokapic did well to keep out Mustapha on 52 minutes and then saved from Jemide before Posh doubled the lead and it was HAYES with it, although it wasn't a classic, closing down the defender and seeing the clearance strike his body before looping up over the keeper and into the back of the net.
Palace pulled a goal back just after the hour mark as MARSH raced clear and fired past Bilokapic with his right-foot.
Jones saw an effort cleared off the line while Odoh and Randall both saw shots blocked before a third goal was secured as substitute Harley MILLS cut inside onto his right-foot and found the top corner with an excellent effort.
Four minutes before the end, Posh made it 4-1 as ODOH got his second of the night as he found the bottom corner of the net after more good approach play.
