An exciting position has become available within the Posh Women set-up to take the club to the next level as Bobby Copping steps down.
Over the last three years, the Peterborough United Women’s team has grown exponentially on and off the pitch with the team competing at the top end of the FAWNL Division One Midlands and building relationships with local businesses and supporters across the region and beyond.
In the role of General Manager, Bobby Copping has helped integrate and implement the successful Girls Academy, which has helped produce players for the first team, as well as help deliver the club’s highest league position and the furthest they have reached in the FA Cup.
Off the pitch, at their new home in Bourne, attendances have been consistently high with an increase in the average attendance of 815%. The Weston Homes Stadium also staged a fixture which attracted over 2,300, the largest in the club’s history.
After three years in the role, Copping has decided to step down, which means there is an exciting opportunity for someone to come in and take the Women’s section of the club to a new level.
Copping said: “Over the last three seasons we have worked very hard to build the Women’s first team and Girls Academy set up. I’m extremely proud of what we have managed to achieve and excited to watch the continued growth of our Women and Girls set up, albeit from a distance.
"The football club are now undertaking a formal recruitment process to appoint a new General Manager who will take the Women and Girls set up to a new level! I want to say thank you to all of our fantastic staff, players, sponsors and fans for their support over the past three seasons!”
