Peterborough United starlet Kwame Poku has been named the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month for September after an excellent personal return.
The 23-year-old scored three times in the month and was a key performer in Darren Ferguson's side, operating from out wide and in the number 10 position.
Poku was delighted to scoop the award. "This is my first Player of the Month in the EFL so I am delighted to win. It was a good month for me in terms of the goals that I scored and hopefully I can keep that going.
"I am just trying to stay more relaxed in front of goal if I can, that comes from experience. I like creating goals as well as scoring them, but it just so happens in the early months of the season, it is the goals that are coming."
