Peterborough United are thrilled to welcome The Donalds Group to our family as the club’s new Facebook sponsor with immediate effect and there will be plenty of exciting developments to the partnership as we move forward.
Commercial Executive Horris Jones said: “We are delighted to welcome The Donalds Group to the football club as our new Facebook sponsor and are looking forward to working with them as we move forward. It is an exciting new relationship that we are excited about developing.”
Benjamin Grant, Group Marketing Manager from The Donald’s Group, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Peterborough United. Both the club and Donalds have been legacy names in the city for many decades and we’re excited to kickstart the season – one that’s full of ambition for both parties.”
‘Donalds Garage’ was originally formed by Noel John Charles Donald during the 30’s. Gradually establishing itself and growing in Peterborough over two decades, the limited company was registered on 18th August 1950. Peter Hamblin bought the business in the 60’s, and the Peterborough branch remains the original site of the Donalds Garage Group today.
Over the years we have seen many brands fill the showroom floor, as was normal for the motor trade in those days, with Austin, Singer, Hyundai and Datsun throughout the 60’s and 70’s and Daihatsu, Subaru and Alfa Romeo in more recent decades. In December 1980 Donalds joined the Mazda franchise family in Peterborough and in 2019 also welcomed MG to Peterborough.
