Peterborough United are now in a position to confirm that a number of players have been made available for transfer following the conclusion of the 2022-2023 Sky Bet League One campaign and a couple of players have been released following the expiry of their contracts.
Experienced defender Nathan Thompson has left the club following the conclusion of his contract. Thompson joined Posh in the summer of 2019 following two seasons with Portsmouth and went on to make 131 appearances, playing a key role in the club achieving promotion to the Sky Bet Championship. Thompson had a spell captaining the club and we would like to thank him for his service and wish him well for the future.
Fellow full-back Benjamin Mensah is another who will move onto pastures new. The right-back made six appearances for the club, including one start in the Papa John’s Trophy. The Academy graduate has struggled with injuries and departs with the club’s best wishes.
The club have made a number of players available for transfer, some in line with the club’s policy of listing players who are entering the final year of their contract.
The players that have been made available for transfer are;

The club have offered Joe Ward a new three-year contract and are awaiting a response from the long-serving player. Goalkeeper Will Norris and defenders Kell Watts and Nathanael Ogbeta have returned to their parent clubs. We would like to thank all three for their contributions to the club.
