Posh defensive duo Ronnie Edwards and Harrison Burrows were among the special guests at the latest Extra Time Hub.
Peterborough United defensive duo Ronnie Edwards and Harrison Burrows spent time at the Extra Time Hub on Tuesday lunchtime, meeting a number of semi-retired and retired adults who were there to participate in some physical and social activities.
The Hub, which took place in the Executive Suite at the Weston Homes Stadium, is run by the Posh Foundation and is designed to reduce isolation and loneliness and those that attend the sessions are reporting back that they are feeling much more part of a family of friends and are less lonely than when they first attended.
The Hub is funded by the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation and the attendees had pictures taken with the Posh duo, while Director of Football Barry Fry also dropped in to find out how much they were enjoying the sessions.
Jenna Lusk, USW Mentor/Community Manager, said: “It was great that Ronnie and Harrison, as well as Barry were able to pop in and spend some time with us. The feedback that we have received is very positive and hopefully they enjoyed the visit from the trio.’
