Big Sleep Out 2025

Spring is here and the Peterborough United Foundation has had another action-packed month, dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of our local community.

With the Easter Holidays coming up, the Posh Foundation will once again be running their popular Holiday Camps, which include a Girls Only Camp and Goalie Camp! Holiday Camps will run every weekday from Tuesday 8th April until Thursday 17th April and are priced at £25 per child, per day.

The Foundation also hosted a Premier League Primary Stars National Football Tournament in March. Orton Wistow Primary School represented Peterborough United and the Foundation fantastically, whilst Luton Town progressed to the national final after beating MK Dons in the final.

On 14th March, Peterborough United Foundation and Light Project Peterborough teamed up to host their second Big Sleep Out event at the Weston Homes Stadium. The event was designed to raise awareness of homelessness locally and give participants an insight into what homeless people go through on a daily basis. So far, almost £15,000 has been raised for the two charities and anyone who wishes to donate can do so until 14th April 2025.

In addition, the Women & Girls department held a Future Lioness referral event, where players from Peterborough, Cambridge, Northampton and Milton Keynes had the chance to impress England scouts in a bid to join the England pathway. The event was a great success, with excellent attendance across the age groups and some good football on show for the England scouts to enjoy.

Peterborough United Foundation also joined together with Peterborough Pride and the Premier League Fans Fund to host a quiz night at the Weston Homes Stadium. The event was a success and will be followed by a Drag Bingo night at the end of April.

April sees the start of Peterborough United Foundation’s second Fit for Life group – for men aged 55+ who would like to be fitter and healthier. Running every Thursday from April 3rd, 1:30pm – 3pm at Orton Wistow Community Centre, sessions will include healthy lifestyle discussion, chair-based exercise, boxercise and much more! To sign up, please email community@theposh.com.
