Peterborough United Girls Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) roundup from the week commencing Monday 5th February.
This week, the players have been participating in small group sessions during training which has enabled coaches to focus on specific areas of their game.
The ETC players also played in an internal competitive competition – ‘Girls Academy Cup’ where teams were named after several first team players. Team Copson were visited and cheered on by defender Elloise Copson.
The highlight of the week was seeing two ETC players make their debut for the first team on Sunday as they won 9-1 against AFC Rushden & Diamonds Girls. Goalkeeper Megan Dellar played the full 90 minutes making several saves, whilst forward Ellie Curson came off the bench on 63 minutes and almost scored just 10 minutes in.
From ETC Manager, Chloe Brown:
“We are all so proud to see our first two players playing in the first team this week. The hard work that both Ellie and Megan have put in so far this season has been rewarded. Hopefully, this is the first of many and inspires more girls to get involved in our pathway.”
