Peterborough United Girls Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) roundup from the week commencing Monday 12th December.
Three more ETC players have already made the transition into the Development Squad after Edyn Osker became the first ETC player to make her senior debut in November. Ellie Curson, who also plays for Leverington, made her debut in the Development Squad 6-2 loss against Northampton Town Development Squad earlier this month, playing a full 90 minutes.
Mia Karagholi and Taya Smith have both been registered and could make their first appearance for Shaun Harley’s side next month once the league resumes following the Christmas break.
In the final few sessions leading upto Christmas, the under 14s and under 16s took part in a 3v3 tournament, while a Girls Academy Cup was held, which was an internal cup competition for players with teams based on 1st team player names.
From ETC manager, Chloe Brown:
"To have four players signed for the Development Squad within the first four months of us running shows the importance of the new player pathway at the club and the opportunities that can come about as a result of this. Well done to all four girls who have signed so far, hopefully, there will be a few more on their way and thank you to Shaun and his team for giving the girls the opportunity. We are now ready for a break for a couple of weeks and look forward to seeing everyone returning refreshed in January. I want to take the opportunity to thank all of our sponsors as well as everyone involved in the set-up and hope everyone had a good Christmas and a happy new year.”
