None of the age groups from the Peterborough United Women Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) were in action last week, but there was plenty of activity off the pitch, with staff and player development.
Coaching Achievement
ETC Coach Violette Armstrong passed her FA Introduction to Coaching Award last week despite only being 16 years old. She is currently the mentee coach for the U10s and the club would like to pass on our congratulations to her.
Another Development Squad Call-Up
Last month, defender Edyn Osker became the first ETC player to have received a call-up to the Development and has since gone onto make two more appearances for Shaun Harley’s side. In the last week, Mia Karagholi has also been called-up to the Development Squad, training alongside the side in the last couple of sessions.
From ETC manager, Chloe Brown:
“We have seen some good progress for both our staff and our players this week, with a second player training with the Development Squad and one of our mentee coaches achieving her first coaching qualification. Having seen the fantastic leadership skills that Violette has shown, I have no doubt that she will be a fantastic coach in the future and completing this course is the start of a journey for her that. All the players have worked hard this week in both a small group Wednesday training session and our Friday training session.”
