Posh will host Manchester City in the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Peterborough United will host Premier League Champions Manchester City in the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup after the draw was made by former Manchester United striker Andrew Cole on Sunday morning.
The game will take place at the Weston Homes Stadium at the beginning of March with full ticket details set to be released in the coming days. Manager Darren Ferguson was understandably excited about the tie.
“It is a fantastic draw. It is one to look forward too for the players, the supporters and of course the owners. It is a real motivation to get our season up and running. We have a lot of games before then, but there is bound to be plenty of excitement around the tie,” Ferguson said.
Posh progressed into the fifth round after a 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, while City beat Championship leaders Fulham 4-1.
