Posh picked up a point on the road with a 0-0 draw at Bloomfield Road against Blackpool in Sky Bet League One action.
Sometimes in football you respect the point and Peterborough United will certainly not be disrespecting a second successive clean sheet on the road as Darren Ferguson's men drew 0-0 with draw specialists Blackpool at Bloomfield Road, yet the what ifs are often discussed and in the second half, Posh carved out some excellent chances, none better than Abraham Odoh late on, who fired over when well placed.
Defensively, Posh looked largely secure, in fact the chances that the home side did carve out often came as a direct result of Posh giving the ball away in dangerous areas - Hayden Coulson in the first half squandered a fine opportunity while Albie Morgan should have done better in the second period.
Carey had the game's first opportunity on eight minutes after a mistake from Archie Collins but goalkeeper Jed Steer did well to hold.
Carey fired a free-kick straight at Steer on 21 minutes and three minutes later, Posh came desperately close to a breakthrough as Edun hit the post after a well-worked corner kick with Tayo Edun.
Coulson squandered the best chance for the Seasiders on 27 minutes with Malik Mothersille forcing Harry Tyrer into a smart stop at the other end.
Tyrer produced a fine save on 53 minutes to keep out a low drive from Odoh with Mothersille heading over as the ball was recyced back into the box.
Kyprianou was denied at the near post by the keeper while Apter fired wide at the other end after good work from CJ Hamilton.
Morgan dragged his shot wide on 82 minutes, while substitute Ricky-Jade Jones found the side-netting with a first-time effort.
A minute into stoppage time, Odoh had the chance to win the game but he fired over after excellent approach play down the left from Mothersille. Mothersille then saw a goalbound shot deflected behind for a corner kick.
