Prostate United Challenge

Posh Prostate United team underway with October challenge for Prostate Cancer UK and there is still time to donate!

Prostate United is a yearly fundraising challenge that invites football club staff and fans to run, walk or cycle a distance every October. Since it began in 2018, the challenge has seen more than 300 staff from 60 professional and non-league football clubs raise more than £500,000 for the leading men’s health charity.

Assistant Manager Kieran Scarff, First Team Coach Dale Tonge, Head of Sports Science Lewis Keeble, Head of Performance Medicine Jon Chatfield, First Team Analyst Matt Loades, Photographer Joe Dent and Press Officer Phil Adlam are all taking on the challenge alongside intern Ben Ewers.

The daily distance undertaken by participants is of their own choosing, as it whether to run, walk or cycle with some taking on the 5k run a day and others cycling or using the Watt Bike.

Assistant manager Kieran Scarff said: "I think the words 'looking forward to it' are probably not applicable, but it is a challenge that we hope will be a successful one!

"It is great that we have a few people getting involved this year and hopefully raising awareness and of course money for such a worthwhile charity.

"We have done it for a few years now and we help each other through it. It is gruelling, particularly when you get to about week three, but we know what the rewards are."
