Joel Randall celebrates scoring

Ricky-Jade Jones' love affair with the Emirates FA Cup continued as he bagged a brace to help Posh beat Notts County 4-3 at the Weston Homes Stadium.

Peterborough United moved into round three of the Emirates FA Cup after a 4-3 victory over Sky Bet League Two side Notts County at the Weston Homes Stadium with Ricky-Jade Jones taking his tally in the competition to four as his brace helped Darren Ferguson's men claim victory.

Posh had the ball in the back of the net on seven minutes as Jones finished a slick move, but the assistant referee raised his flag with TV evidence suggesting the number 17 was onside.

Malik Mothersille fired straight at the keeper after more good football before the deadlock was broken as JONES fired home at the near post after a clever pass from Ryan De Havilland.

On 12 minutes, the Magpies levelled as SCOTT tapped home from close-range after poor defending at the back from Posh. Four minutes later, the visitors were in front as PLATT got across his marker at the near post to head home past Bilokapic.

Randall fired straight at Bass on 23 minutes and Jadel Katongo saw an effort deflected into the side-netting. Sam Curtis saw a goalbound effort blocked and then a defender cleared off the line from Mothersille as Posh pressed for an equaliser.

Mothersille saw a cross-shot beaten away by Bass who also kept out a deflected Katongo cross.

Posh hit the bar on 52 minutes through a powerful Ryan De Havilland effort and Mothersille saw a shot tipped over the bar as Posh continued to dominate.

On 72 minutes, Posh levelled as JONES slid home at the near post after excellent work from Archie Collins down the right.

Four minutes later, Posh made it 3-2 as RANDALL fired home after his initial effort was kept out by the legs of the goalkeeper following good approach play from substitute Abraham Odoh.

Sam Curtis headed over from a deep Jack Sparkes corner before ODOH made it 4-2 as he got the final touch to a Curtis delivery.

Nine minutes of added time was indicated by the fourth official and five minutes into that additional time, the visitors pulled a goal back through ABBOTT.

The third round draw will take place on Monday evening.
