Posh have secured the signing of Brentford winger Michael Olakigbe with the 19-year-old agreeing a loan deal until the end of the season.
Peterborough United are delighted to announce that Brentford winger Michael Olakigbe has agreed a loan switch to the Weston Homes Stadium until the end of the season.
The highly-rated 19-year-old, who penned a long-term deal to keep him at the Bees until 2028, has completed the formalities at the idverde Training Ground and will link up with his new team-mates ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet League One meeting with Wigan Athletic.
Olakigbe has featured eight times in the Premier League for Thomas Frank's men this season and also featured in the cup competitions.
He joined the Bees from fellow Premier League outfit Fulham initially joining the 'B' side, but has impressed and had multiple suitors in this January transfer window.
Manager Darren Ferguson was delighted to get the deal over the line. "I am delighted and lucky to get him. He has been involved in Brentford's first team for the majority of this season.
"He is a very talented boy, he can play off the right, off the left, he is quick, direct and exactly how we want our wide players to be.
"He really likes the way we play, he knows four or five of our players, he has been in an England squad with Ronnie and played with Jadel too. I think he will be an exciting signing for us and we are really pleased to get him on board."
Olakigbe added: "I really like the way that the team play, it really suits my style and that was important when making the decision on where to come out on loan.
"I spoke to the manager, everything he said was what I wanted to hear and I am really excited to be here and to get started."
