Posh U18s face The Owls in the league.
Peterborough United U18s return to Under-18 Professional Development League action on Saturday morning (11:30am) as they face Sheffield Wednesday U18s at the idverde Training Ground.
The under 18s men have won their last two games in the league, with victories over Crewe Alexandra and Burnley, and currently sit third in the table. The Owls are sat bottom of the table and have lost their last three games, including a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Barnsley in their previous game.
Jamal Campbell-Ryce will be expected to rotate his squad once again on Saturday after playing a game just less than 48 hours ago in the U18 David Joyce County Cup, which saw them run out 2-0 winners and progress to the final of the competition.
Speaking ahead of the game, Campbell-Ryce said: “I have needed to use the squad as much as possible over the last two days. Some played 50-60 minutes, even 90 minutes on Thursday evening, which shows I need all the players and I will have to freshen it up at the weekend once again. But, everyone is a part of the squad and they know that, I trust them all and whoever plays needs to make sure they are looking to keep the shirt.”
“We haven’t played an easy game so far this season and that won’t be any different this weekend. But, we will try to get another three points on the board and keep this momentum going, maintaining the confidence in the players as this squad can go on and achieve whatever they want.”
Updates of the game will be provided as much as possible on The Posh Academy Twitter account (@theposhacademy).
