Posh U18s travel to The Tigers in their latest Professional Development League fixture.
Peterborough United U18s continue their Under-18 Professional Development League campaign on Saturday morning (11am) as they face Hull City U18s at Hull City AFC Training Ground.
The under 18s are still searching for their first victory in the league, most recently, falling to a 2-0 defeat to Bristol City last weekend. The Tigers have won back-to-back games against AFC Bournemouth and Swansea City, lifting them to sixth in the table.
Defender Fabian Claxton remains unavailable due to injury as Head of Academy Professional Development Phase Coach, Jamal Campbell-Ryce, admits it has been a lack of consistency in performances so far as the under 18s continue to search for their first points in the league.
“It has been inconsistent so far. We started off really poorly with results and performances, but as the weeks progressed, starting at Millwall, there were a lot of good things performance-wise and we were just done by individual errors. In the following week, we beat West Brom in the Premier League Cup which was an outstanding achievement against a category one team.
“However, the last two performances haven’t been there and it’s just about getting that consistency and getting the basic principles right. The basic fundamentals at any level are you have to run and you have to compete, which might sound so cliché, but it is so important. Hopefully, the players have heard that message during the week and have taken it on board.”
