Posh U18s face The Clarets on Saturday morning in the Under-18 Professional Development League.
Peterborough United U18s welcome Burnley U18s to the idverde Training Ground on Saturday morning (11am) in the Under-18 Professional Development League.
The under 18s extended their winning run to 10 games, including seven consecutive victories in the league, on Tuesday afternoon after a 2-0 victory over Birmingham City after goals from Dennis Kelmendi and Reuben Marshall in the second half.
The victory saw Posh rise to second in the table, three points ahead of Sheffield United having played three more games, and Hugh Alban-Jones praised his side's professionalism throughout their winning run.
“We challenged the players after they started to pick up a few wins to get a real run going and they have done exactly that. It’s not easy to win 10 games in a row, many teams can be expected to turn up and have an off day and end up getting beat. We are playing against good teams, but we have been really professional and have been good value for each win. They deserve this and all credit goes to them,” Alban-Jones said.
The two sides met last month as Posh ran out 2-1 winners after James Dornelly broke the deadlock before an own-goal sealed the victory and Alban-Jones is expecting another challenging game against The Clarets.
“There’s no such thing as an easy game and Burnley will be a tough opponent, bringing a physical side to the game. We have played against them before and we know the challenges they will pose. As long as we put our game plan into place, the performance and result will take care of itself,” Alban-Jones added.
Updates of the game will be provided as much as possible on The Posh Academy Twitter account (@theposhacademy).
