Posh U21s face The Blues in the league on Tuesday afternoon.
Peterborough United U21s will look to return to winning ways on Tuesday afternoon (2pm) as they travel to Wast Hills Training Ground to face Birmingham City U21s in the Professional Development League.
The under 21s were held to a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday in the league last week, extending their unbeaten run to four games, but remain eighth in the table, having played two games less than the teams around them.
The Blues, who are currently sixth, also picked up a point in their previous game after a 1-1 draw with Burnley U21s, but have failed to win in their last four games.
Midfielder Oliver Norburn is set to feature once again after playing his first 45 minutes in the last 12 months in last week’s game against The Owls, with a strong under 21s squad expected to travel to face The Blues on Tuesday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Professional Development Phase Coach, Ryan Semple, said: “We want to build on last week, we spoke after the game against Sheffield Wednesday about the things we did well and could have done better. We drew the game, but could have won with the number of chances we created. So, it’s about being a little bit more consistent during the whole game, and hopefully, that will see us doing well and winning the game.
“It will be a very tough test against Birmingham, we played them here earlier in the season and have watched plenty of their clips and can see how difficult of a game it will be. For us, it’s about how we approach the game, work with and without the ball and then ultimately perform well for the majority of the 90 minutes.”
The game gets underway at 2pm and updates will be available on the club’s official Twitter account.
