Posh U21s face The Tigers at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Peterborough United U21s welcome Hull City U21s to the Weston Homes Stadium on Tuesday afternoon (1pm) in the Professional Development League.
The under 21s picked up an important three points in their previous fixture after a 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic last week at the idverde Training Ground, with goals from Emmanuel Fernandez and Roddy McGlinchey.
The Tigers are currently sat second in the table, although 19 points behind league leaders Sheffield United, after a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at the beginning of the season. The two sides met back in October as Conor Sellars secured a 4-1 victory at the Dransfield Stadium.
Forward Lewis Darlington could be in contention to return to the squad after missing the last few weeks due to injury, while midfielder Will Van Lier remains out after suffering a hamstring injury against Blackburn Rovers back in January.
Professional Development Phase Coach, Ryan Semple, is expecting another tough afternoon in the Professional Development League, but will look to take the positives from last week’s performance against The Latics.
“It will be a similar game to Wigan Athletic last week. Hull, Wigan and Sheffield United are the top three teams in this league, so it will be a difficult game but one we are looking forward to. We will look to take the positives from last week’s performance and take them into tomorrow’s game, and look at areas we can exploit the opposition.
“They have got some very good individual players that work hard, are organised and will cause us problems, but we are confident that we can do the exact same. We feel we are prepared if we put in the performance, with or without the ball, then we will give ourselves a good chance.”
Tickets are now on sale at www.theposhtickets.com and via the Weston Homes Stadium Box Office. Admission is free for season ticket holders with adult tickets available for £3 and concessions (seniors and under 18s) at £1. The Main North Stand will be open for the fixture.
The game will be streamed live on Posh+ and will be free for Posh+ subscribers or £3 for a match pass.
