We are delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new official podcast and we have made an exciting signing to help present it too!
posh unfiltered, in partnership with the Podcast Lounge, will be available wherever you get your podcasts with goalkeeper Jed Steer joining Phil Adlam as a co-presenter and the first episode, which will land ahead of the season opener with Huddersfield Town, features manager Darren Ferguson as the special guest.
So, what can you expect from posh unfiltered? The aim is bring you the person behind the player – or in the case of the first episode – the Manager. What makes them tick? What do they do away from the game and with Jed as co-presenter, you can guarantee stories you have not heard before from inside the dressing room.
It will bring you a different side of the squad, finding out more about what makes them tick and dealing with some of the big topics.
Head of Media & Marketing at Posh Clive Edwards said: “Our aim is always to bring the best content we can to our supporters. We see the podcast as another way in which we can communicate with supporters and with this product do that in a completely different way. Fan engagement is always our priority within the media team and this is another stepping stone to optimising that engagement.
“The podcast will become a stand-alone programme but will also sit as part of the Posh+ proposition going forward. Jed and Phil will be filmed live, and this will be available on Posh+ later in the week, perhaps with some not seen before content. We are really excited to be able to provide a lifestyle format as well which will give a completely different insight into the Club, management, players and staff which isn’t currently available within our content portfolio.”
Co-presenter Phil Adlam said: “We are really excited to be bringing you a bi-weekly podcast and look forward to challenging the Hard Truth in terms of downloads!
“Our content output already gives a real insight to stuff on the pitch, but we feel that the podcast will be the perfect setting to produce something a little different. I am delighted that Jed is joining me, he will provide a real insight from a player perspective and will be able to ask questions that I dare not.”
Steer said: “When I was asked about this opportunity it was something that I was really excited about. I have done a bit of media work in the past and this podcast is the perfect way to keep that going alongside training! I am not going to be afraid to ask the tough questions, as players it is really important that personality and the real you comes across and that is the aim of this podcast, it is going to be unfiltered.”
Lead Producer and Creative Director of The Podcast Lounge, Stephen Rothwell said “We’re so pleased to be working with Peterborough United and producing the official podcast! We know firsthand just how powerful podcasts can be in sharing stories and bringing audiences closer to their favourite creators, brands and sports teams.
“Throughout our conversations with Posh, we quickly realised we had the opportunity to create something special for the supporters. Something that showcased the untold stories of the club, the backroom talent that keeps the club running and the personal lives of the team that play so passionately each week. We’re so proud to be a part of the creative team that brings all of this straight to your ears.
“This is what makes Peterborough so brilliant; the club, the community and local businesses working together to create great content, tell untold stories and bring supporters and fans closer than ever to the action! We can’t wait to get started!”
