Posh Women return to East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League action on Sunday afternoon.
Peterborough United Women Development Squad welcome Dunton & Broughton Ladies to the idverde Training Ground on Sunday afternoon (2pm) in the East Midlands Women's Regional Football League Division One Midlands.
Both sides met last October as Posh ran out 3-2 winners after Andreia Oliveira's late winner secured the three points. Shaun Harley’s side have won their last two games in the league, scoring four goals and keeping two clean sheets as they look to leapfrog Kettering Town Women into third-place.
Dunton & Broughton Ladies are comfortably sat second in the league on 24 points, with one game in hand on league leaders Northampton Town Development Squad and currently six games unbeaten in the league.
Posh Women Development Squad manager, Shaun Harley, confirmed that he has a full squad available at his disposal for the first time in recent months, but is expecting a tough afternoon.
"We are looking good and fresh going into this game after a number of weeks off, which we have arranged a few friendlies in that time. Dunton played well last time despite us scoring late, so I'm expecting another really tough game.
"We've only lost once at home this season against Northampton, so playing at home is a big advantage and the players are still very determined to fight and finish as high as they possibly can in the league,” Harley said.
