Posh Women Development squad Travel to The Foxes on Sunday Afternoon.
Peterborough United Women Development Squad are on the road on Sunday afternoon (2pm) as they face Leicester City Ladies at Linwood Playing Field in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League Division One South.
Shaun Harley’s side will be looking to return to winning ways after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kettering Town Women last weekend, who climbed up to second place and dropped Posh back into third. Posh are currently tied on 12 points with The Poppies, who have a better goal difference.
Leicester City Ladies are currently holding onto seventh place and are tied on points with Dunton & Broughton United Ladies and Loughborough Foxes Vixens First Women. Harley's side will be without striker Aliyah Palmer and defender Leah Barnes this week. However, Hannah Johnson will be back from her injury against Dunton & Broughton.
Speaking ahead of the game, Harley said: "We don't know what to expect, Leicester is a tough side and the fact that the game is away does make it more difficult. They had a strong result knocking Yaxley out of the FA cup, however, we do have players coming back which I'm really excited about and hopefully can go head-to-head with a competitive team.”
