Posh Women will travel to Nottinghamshire next month for a three-day training camp as part of their preparations for the 2023/24 campaign.
Dan Lawlor will take his side to Worksop Private College for a pre-season training camp on Friday 7th July before returning on Sunday 10th July for a second consecutive year as part of preparations for the FA Women’s National League campaign.
The main focus across the weekend will be on building match fitness, alongside team bonding, ahead of a busy pre-season schedule, which will see Posh face seven sides across tier three and four level.
Next month's training camp is kindly sponsored by The Urban Penguin and the club would like to thank them for their continued support ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Manager Dan Lawlor said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to The Urban Penguin for sponsoring the training camp once again this season and for his continued support for the team.
“The pre-season training camp proved to be a huge success last season, so it was a no-brainer to arrange something like this once again. Worksop was a brilliant venue and were outstanding hosts last time, equipped with a lovely football pitch to train on and other facilities for players to use in their downtime, so I’m delighted we can return there.
“Next season will be tough and that’s why we have put together a intense pre-season against some top sides, and this pre-season training camp will allow us to prepare for those accordingly and hopefully another strong campaign in the FA Women’s National League.”
Posh Women will kick-off their pre-season schedule with a visit from Wolverhampton Wanderers Women to the Abbey Lawn on Sunday 16th July. Full ticket details for that game will be announced in due course.
