Posh Women impress fans with positive performance against Tier 3 side Hashtag United.
Peterborough United Women drew 1-1 with Hashtag United Women in their latest pre-season friendly after a wonderful strike from Jess Abrantes concluded a very entertaining Sunday afternoon at Abbey Lawn.
Despite an early goal from Malika Apindia in the opening minutes, Posh put on a great defensive display, with goalkeeper Neive Corry making some crucial saves to deny any efforts.
Once Posh had settled, they showcased some great build-up play throughout the first half, including a close chance from Brown in the box following a ball in by Perkins.

Posh continued to commit to challenges despite the Tags proving to be a strong and physical opposition and on 29 minutes Brown sent a fantastic ball towards the net from the edge of the box, but her effort skimmed over the crossbar.
After the break, both sides kept the keepers busy. Corry impressed the crowd with numerous saves including a wonderful block from close range that kept Posh in the game.
On 80 minutes Posh struck gold after ABRANTES long range effort hit the crossbar and came down just behind the goal line.
