poppy

Bidding is currently open for our MatchWornShirt Auction in aid of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal where you can own a piece of the action from our historic 6-1 derby day win against Cambridge United last Saturday.

As a symbol of respect, Peterborough United players wore shirts featuring an emblem of the poppy during the derby day victory and these unique shirts have been signed by the players who wore them and made available to own via auction, exclusively on the MatchWornShirt website and app.

All of the net proceeds of these auctions will be allocated to the Royal British Legion.

Since it was first worn as an act of Remembrance just over 100 years ago, the red poppy has become an enduring symbol of support for our Armed Forces. This year, the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal highlights the mental scars linked to military service.

Every donation to the RBL’s Poppy Appeal helps to provide vital support to the Armed Forces community and ensures their unique contribution is never forgotten. Kwame Poku's shirt is currently standing at £799 in the auction and we are looking to achieve a record fundraise this time around for such a valuable charity. Thank you to all our supporters who have bid so far.

The auction closes at 4pm on Sunday 17th November so bid now and own a piece of history.
