The Posh Under 21s secured a 1-0 victory over Coventry City at the idverde Training Ground on Tuesday afternoon.
A goal from Trialist B secured all three points for the Peterborough United Under 21s as Ryan Semple's men concluded their home campaign in the Professional Development League with a solid 1-0 victory over Coventry City.
Janos Bodnar saw an early strike pushed aside by Bell inside the opening two minutes as Posh made a lively start to the contest. Donay O'Brien-Brady was cautioned on 16 minutes with Charlie O'Connell also cautioned in a combative few minutes.
Joe Davies headed wide of the target after good work from Changunda before the deadlock was broken as TRIALIST B drilled a shot past the keeper after a good lay-off from Harley Mills.
Stretton was denied by the Posh keeper on 32 minutes as Coventry responded well, but it was Posh who ended the first half strongly, Mills seeing a shot beaten away by Bell after some slick football.
Substitute Lewis Darlington saw a close-range header tipped around the post by Bell on 69 minutes and less than 60 seconds later, the visitors were twice denied by the Posh shot-stopper, first pushing aside a low shot before punching a fierce drive away.
Darlington saw a shot on the turn claimed by Bell with Posh managing the game expertly in the closing stages to secure all three points.
Semple said: "It was a good win, it perhaps could have been a little bit more comfortable because we got ourselves into decent positions. It was pleasing to keep a clean sheet."
