Ryan Semple’s side will make the journey to Norwich this weekend, where they look to continue their pre-season progress as they face Norwich City’s Under 21’s side (11am kick-off).
The Peterborough United Under 21s will look to continue preparing for the new season following their narrow 1-0 defeat to St Ives. Saturday they will face a stern test from Norwich City’s Under 21’s who have played in the Premier League 2 for the past 13 years. Norwich finished 18th in their division last season.
Manager Ryan Semple said: "It is another tough test for us. It goes without saying that Norwich have an excellent Academy and have produced some top players down the years.
"I personally know a few of the staff there, some of which who have worked at Posh in the past, so we know what to expect. It is a great test for the young players, it will be a challenge for our lads, but in a good way.
"Sometimes in pre-season you will have games where you will have a younger group than others, the reason why we continue to be so young is because those players that are getting the opportunity in the first team group are taking those opportunities. That is what we want."
The fixture will take place in Norwich City's training ground. Kick-off is at 11am
