Former Posh star was the guest at the latest senior citizen event, which took place at the Weston Homes Stadium earlier this week.
The club, in conjunction with the Posh Foundation, welcomed senior citizens to the Weston Homes Stadium for the latest event on Wednesday with former Peterborough United defender Steve Welsh the guest speaker.
Welsh, who won promotion at Wembley with Posh back in 1992, reflected on that success, his time at the club, playing under Chris Turner and the togetherness between the players and the supporters during a two-hour stay in PE2.
Welsh, who also spoke to Posh+, said: "It is great to be able to come back to the club and do events like this. The club is always so welcoming and whilst a few things have changed in terms of the stadium and the city, the friendly nature of everybody certainly hasn't."
Club Historian Peter Lane and his wife Sandee helped ensure the day was a success with the next senior citizen event set to take place in early 2025.
