Young Posh defender Benjamin Arthur has joined Brentford ‘B’ for an undisclosed fee.
Peterborough United centre back Benjamin Arthur has joined Brentford ‘B’ for an undisclosed fee with the formalities completed ahead of the deadline on Friday.
Arthur (17) joined the Academy as a 13-year-old and has excelled within the system, putting in some outstanding displays at under 18 level, helping the team win the Professional League Cup last season.
He has made the step up to under 21 football and trained with the first team and will link up with the Bees after both clubs agreed a fee.
Kieran Scarff, current assistant manager and former Academy manager said, “Benji displayed an excellent attitude during his time with the football club. He was part of the full-time programme at Nene Park Academy and has been with the club since under 13 level. We wish him well at Brentford and for the rest of his career.”
