Biography
Darren Ferguson is the most successful manager in Peterborough United's history. He has masterminded four promotions as the club's manager across five (four really but five if you are being pedantic) spells in charge and also brought major silverware in terms of the EFL Trophy back in it's Johnstone's Paint Trophy guise in 2014.
Ferguson and chairman Darragh MacAnthony have a pretty unique relationship, arguably one of the most unique in the EFL - who would come back after a sacking? Who would hire a manager after he left?
Ferguson, son of Sir Alex Ferguson has had managerial experience away from the Weston Homes Stadium at Doncaster Rovers and Preston North End, but it is fair to say, he has at home in PE2.
He has managed over 700 career games and has chalked up over 300 wins with a 42 per cent win ratio as he prepared for the 2023-2024 campaign. The 2023-2024 campaign was another one that can go down in the 'success' column as Posh lifted the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, 10 years on from their last success in the competition. Posh also reached the Sky Bet League One play-offs for the second successive campaign.
