Cian Hayes joined Posh from Fleetwood Town in the summer of 2024 after a superb campaign during a loan spell with Rochdale in the Vanarama National League, where he netted seven goals in 24 appearances. A direct runner, Hayes can operate on either flank and despite his diminutive stature, he is strong and able to handle the physicality.

Has scored some superb individual goals in his career to date and netted a few goals during pre-season ahead of the 2024-2025 campaign. Hayes made his competitive Posh debut as a substitute in the opening day defeat to Huddersfield Town.
