Mahamadou joined Posh on a season-long loan deal from Premier League Champions Manchester City in August 2024 and made his debut in the 2-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town on the opening day of the Sky Bet League One season. A midfield player who can break up the play as well as start attacks, the Spanish under 19 international joined City from Espanyol and has been a regular in the Citizens Under 21 set-up.

He made his Champions League debut as a substitute against Red Star Belgrade and was an unused substitute against Real Madrid.
